Aspiration went well this morning. We got 5 eggs and I’m really very happy about the number. Praise God! We have always had very good fertilization rates, so I’m expecting at least 4 fertilized embryos. I can phone tomorrow afternoon to find out how many fertilized.
DH says that this time I behaved myself. I thought I was a standup comic when we went for our first IVF (at another FS than where I’m now). Apparently I entertained DH, the nurses and the doctor then. Please note that I’m an introvert and I don’t like being the centre of attention, but I didn’t have any inhibitions then. When the aspiration was finished the doctor wrote the number of eggs on my hand and apparently I was waving my arm in the air and shouting because I was so happy there were 14 eggs. DH says the doctor was walking beside the bed and laughing out loud. Before the procedure I was holding my eyelids open with my fingers and telling everyone I need matches to put in there to keep them open (That was a joke!). Is there anyone else with funny stories about ER?
I’m still feeling a little woozy, so I hope this post is making sense to all of you. I think I need to go lie down a little again.
