For those of you that watched the Indescribable video’s of Louie Giglio that I posted a few days ago, you will notice that some of the following message is similar to what he said.  The message I want to share is from Curry Blake though and I’m quoting from the KJV today because that’s what he used:

Curry says that:  “The power of God is mechanical.  It makes people mad when I say that, but I’ve found that to be true.  Let me give you an example:  When you woke up this morning, our clocks are set on the sun, so you think that God had to get up this morning and say:  “Ok, sun – do it again.  No, because He set it in motion.  He spoke it once and it’s for ever good – until He changes it.

God said one time (according to the Hebrew):  “Light, be!”  And the next verse says:  “and light was”.  Think about this.  He said it once and yet it’s going constantly – He didn’t have to get up every morning and do it all over again.  Do you realize that even science tells us that light is expanding, not necessary equally but in all directions at roughly 186 200 miles per second (speed of light)?  God said:  “Light be”.  What was first?  The Word – He said it, light became and it says in Isaiah 55:11 (KJV):  11So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” He sent His Word out and it will accomplish what it must accomplish – it will not return unto Him void.  Do you know why light is still expanding?  Because there is still void out there, it can’t turn around and come back until it’s filled all the void.  Has His word returned back to Him?  No, because light is still going.  Think about it!  He said it once, but it’s still travelling – isn’t that right?

He said in:  1 Peter 2:24 (KJV):  24 ….by whose stripes ye were healed.”  Why do you think He has to say it again for you?  He said it once – it is still out there – is everybody healed?  No!  Theoretically Jesus bought it, but has everybody experienced it? Then it is still out there going – it can’t return until everybody is healed, or His word will return unto Him void!  When Jesus said on the cross:  “It is finished” – means it is finished!  Why do we think it is not finished – that Jesus must still give us an ok!

Another example:  When Moses struck the rock twice:  What did he want to get?  Water.  Did he get it?  Yes, but what did it cost him?  He could not enter the Promised Land – when Moses struck the rock in disobedience it was an outright sin that cost him dearly.  According to our theology if it’s not the will of God the miracle will not happen.  But the fact is that Moses, in an act of sin, still got his miracle – that’s called mechanical. It did cost Moses, because of the sin.  I’m telling you, your parameters are a lot bigger than Moses’ was, because of the New Covenant (See here for more information on the New Covenant)

So why do you think that whenever Jesus said in Mark 16: 15 (KJV):  15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature”, that that only lasted for a certain period of time?  It didn’t, right?    You know it’s funny, everyone will admit we have the great commission and if we have the great commission then everything with the great commission goes with it!  Mark 16:15-18 (KJV):   15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.  16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.  17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

Think about this:  No army in the world, no general in his right mind will send in a crack trained troop of soldiers, someone that goes in and just kicks the heck out of the enemy, I mean he just beats them every time he turns around, and then he turns around and then pulls him out, after he’s just slapped the enemy around an then sends in the B-team, with no gifts, no weapons, no tools, nothing and says:  “Alright, I’m going to leave, you all mix it up and I hope you last…”  No!  That makes no sense!  That would be like me picking a fight with someone big, slap them around and then stick my little son, a small child, in there and saying:  “Well, I hope you can handle it!”  He will tear my son up!  So what am I going to do?  If I’m a responsible father I want to give my son everything he needs to take care of the situation, even if I’m not there to do it!  Isn’t that right?  I’m going to train him, give him tools, the weapons and tell him every secret I know about the enemy to help him win.  That’s what God has done!  He didn’t take away anything.

The Word of God is settled in heaven, we must settle it on earth.  Psalm 119:89 (KJV):  89For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.”  How long is it settled in heaven?  Forever.  Will there ever be a time that God’s Word is not settled in heaven?  No!  So it’s settled – there no changing, am I right?  So as it’s said – right now that’s the way God sees it and said it, right?  So He is not going to change for me or you or any situation we come into contact with.  Right?  Now His word is settled in heaven – do you notice that it doesn’t say His word is settled in heaven and in earth?  Because His word isn’t settled in heaven and in earth – see that’s our job.  That’s why He said:  Matthew 6:10 (KJV):  10Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”  Why?  Because His will is His word and His word is settled in heaven – our job is to settle it on earth.  We take His will – His word, and we accomplish it on the earth.

The Hebrew word used for settled here is nasab and it means to station, to set as a boundary, it means literally to set as a boundary.  The word of God is set as your boundary, now, what that means is:  If Jesus didn’t do it – don’t you do it.  Jesus didn’t analyze people and asked them if they had sin in their life, or whether they had enough faith.  Very seldom did He say anything about faith – when somebody demonstrated faith or exhibited it He acknowledged it.   He would say:  “Do you believe I can do this” and they would say: “Yes!” and He would say:  “Ok, be healed.”

Luke 13:10-13 (KJV):  10And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.  11And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.  12And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.  13And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight and glorified God.”

Remember when He saw the woman was bent over and she came into the synagogue and He saw her – if you read that story it totally destroys most healing teachings, because it says when He saw her, He called her to Him.  Notice what He didn’t say to her:  “Woman, how lucky do you feel today?  How much faith do you have?  Do you think today is your day? Notice how he didn’t say:  “Wow! You’re bent over, that’s from a weak spine, there must be some unresolved grief or some unforgiveness here. The moment you get that out, God will heal you…”

Do you realize that we try to turn ourselves into doctors rather than deliverers?  You need to just set people free!  That’s what Jesus did!  He called the woman to Him and He said:  “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.”  Do you notice that he didn’t say:  “Do you want to be healed?”  Why?  Because any sane person would want to be healed, isn’t that right?”

Judges 7 (NIV):  “Gideon Defeats the Midianites.  1 Early in the morning, Jerub-Baal (that is, Gideon) and all his men camped at the spring of Harod. The camp of Midian was north of them in the valley near the hill of Moreh.  2 The LORD said to Gideon, You have too many men for me to deliver Midian into their hands. In order that Israel may not boast against me that her own strength has saved her,  3 announce now to the people, ‘Anyone who trembles with fear may turn back and leave Mount Gilead.’ So twenty-two thousand men left, while ten thousand remained.
4 But the LORD said to Gideon, There are still too many men. Take them down to the water, and I will sift them out for you there. If I say, ‘This one shall go with you,’ he shall go; but if I say, ‘This one shall not go with you,’ he shall not go.  5 So Gideon took the men down to the water. There the LORD told him, Separate those who lap the water with their tongues like a dog from those who kneel down to drink.  6 Three hundred men lapped with their hands to their mouths. All the rest got down on their knees to drink.  7 The LORD said to Gideon, With the three hundred men that lapped I will save you and give the Midianites into your hands. Let all the other men go, each to his own place.  8 So Gideon sent the rest of the Israelites to their tents but kept the three hundred, who took over the provisions and trumpets of the others. Now the camp of Midian lay below him in the valley.

9 During that night the LORD said to Gideon, Get up, go down against the camp, because I am going to give it into your hands.10 If you are afraid to attack, go down to the camp with your servant Purah 11 and listen to what they are saying. Afterwards, you will be encouraged to attack the camp. So he and Purah his servant went down to the outposts of the camp.

12 The Midianites, the Amalekites and all the other eastern peoples had settled in the valley, thick as locusts. Their camels could no more be counted than the sand on the seashore.13 Gideon arrived just as a man was telling a friend his dream. I had a dream, he was saying. A round loaf of barley bread came tumbling into the Midianite camp. It struck the tent with such force that the tent overturned and collapsed.  14 His friend responded, This can be nothing other than the sword of Gideon son of Joash, the Israelite. God has given the Midianites and the whole camp into his hands.

15 When Gideon heard the dream and its interpretation, he worshipped God. He returned to the camp of Israel and called out, Get up! The LORD has given the Midianite camp into your hands.  16 Dividing the three hundred men into three companies, he placed trumpets and empty jars in the hands of all of them, with torches inside.  17 Watch me, he told them. Follow my lead. When I get to the edge of the camp, do exactly as I do.

18 When I and all who are with me blow our trumpets, then from all around the camp blow yours and shout, ‘For the LORD and for Gideon.’  19 Gideon and the hundred men with him reached the edge of the camp at the beginning of the middle watch, just after they had changed the guard. They blew their trumpets and broke the jars that were in their hands.  20 The three companies blew the trumpets and smashed the jars. Grasping the torches in their left hands and holding in their right hands the trumpets they were to blow, they shouted, A sword for the LORD and for Gideon!  21 While each man held his position around the camp, all the Midianites ran, crying out as they fled.

22 When the three hundred trumpets sounded, the LORD caused the men throughout the camp to turn on each other with their swords. The army fled to Beth Shittah towards Zererah as far as the border of Abel Meholah near Tabbath.  23 Israelites from Naphtali, Asher and all Manasseh were called out, and they pursued the Midianites.

24 Gideon sent messengers throughout the hill country of Ephraim, saying, Come down against the Midianites and seize the waters of the Jordan ahead of them as far as Beth Barah. So all the men of Ephraim were called out and they took the waters of the Jordan as far as Beth Barah.  25 They also captured two of the Midianite leaders, Oreb and Zeeb. They killed Oreb at the rock of Oreb, and Zeeb at the winepress of Zeeb. They pursued the Midianites and brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon, who was by the Jordan.”

God got Gideon to reduce the numbers of his men from 32 000 to 300 to attack the Midianites.  God said that their numbers had to decrease to an amount that would prove that it was impossible for them to defeat the Midianites on their own strength, and that it could only have been due to God that they were victorious.  There could not be any doubt that it was a true miracle from God, so that they would give all the praise and glory to Him!

Very often we are in situations where we say:  “It is impossible!” Yet in Luke 18:27 (NIV) it says:  27 Jesus replied, What is impossible with men is possible with God.”  We must learn to take messages like these as promises from God.  We must believe that what they say is true, even today, and that the impossible can come true in our own lives.

If you don’t believe me let me prove it with some more scriptures:  Numbers 11:23 (NIV):  23 The LORD answered Moses, Is the LORD’s arm too short? You will now see whether or not what I say will come true for you.”

Jeremiah 32:27 (NIV):  27 I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?”

Psalm 18:29 (NIV):  29 With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall.”

Jeremiah 32:17 (NIV):  17Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.”

If you feel today that it is impossible to have that baby that you dream of, turn to God, ask Him to do the impossible for you – He can and He will!  It’s a promise from Him and God cannot go back on His word.  He is Holy and what that means is that He cannot lie and He cannot make empty promises…

Why don’t you start claiming the promises of God for yourself?

Indescribable

Yesterday in church we sang the song: Indescribable and pastor A also showed us a short film about the universe and that made me think about the DVD Indescribable from Louie Giglio – I have it here at home and I absolutely love it!  I remember seeing it for the first time about 2,5 years ago – in the time when I was absolutely broken, due to my first failed IVF, and it helped me tremendously!  I want to share it with you today:

We are healed!

When I say we are healed I mean, DH, my mom, Shumi and I.  I contacted John G Lake Ministries South Africa and they put me in touch with Pastor A.  I spoke to him on the phone on Friday morning as I was realy becoming frantic and almost hysterical.  You see in my last post I said Shumi does not seem to be getting worse, but not even an hour after posting it he suddenly had snot coming out of his eye!  Not a pretty sight let me tell you…  Later the snot out of his nose was also becoming mixed with blood.

Anyway, Pastor A prayed for my mom and Shumi over the phone, but he also invited us to a service at a church he was holding this morning, so DH and I went.  I was some distance to drive but so worth it!  After the service he called DH and I forward and he and some members of the congregation laid hands on us and healed us all!  He commanded the cancer to be gone from my mom and Shumi’s bodies, he commanded DH’s intestines (IBS or whatever was wrong with him) to be healed and he commanded all pain to leave my body (I’ve been in pain for some time) and for us to be healed from infertility!

I cannot tell you what a relief I’ve felt!  He said that we should be seeing results soon in Shumi’s body and he told us to start choosing baby names!  So watch this space! I know we will be testifying to some miracles soon!

I love this song, I can’t find the original music video on You Tube so I’m posting from GodTube…

http://www.godtube.com/featured/video/amy-grant-better-hallelujah-official-music-video/all

The lyrics:

God loves a lullaby
In a mothers tears in the dead of night
Better than a Hallelujah sometimes.
God loves a drunkards cry,
The soldiers plea not to let him die
Better than a Hallelujah sometimes.

We pour out our miseries
God just hears a melody
Beautiful the mess we are
The honest cries of breaking hearts
Are better than a Hallelujah

The woman holding on for life,
The dying man giving up the fight
Are better than a Hallelujah sometimes
The tears of shame for what’s been done,
The silence when the words won’t come
Are better than a Hallelujah sometimes.

We pour out our miseries
God just hears a melody
Beautiful the mess we are
The honest cries of breaking hearts
Are better than a Hallelujah

Better than a church bell ringing,
Better than a choir singing out, singing out.

We pour out our miseries
God just hears a melody
Beautiful the mess we are
The honest cries of breaking hearts
Are better than a Hallelujah

Repeat Chorus

I’ve been feeling very sad these last few days…  I’ve been crying a lot and I’m sure DH is at his wit’s end.   On Saturday I had a little breakdown –  about our miscarriage, Shumi’s tumour and my mom’s health situation.  And I think it’s not just that – I’m surrounded by pregnant women around me and I must say I’m not really feeling envious or jealous, but just incredibly sad and depressed… I think it all started last week when I noticed that all the ladies that tested with me for my 2nd IVF had their babies in their last 2 weeks or so.  That’s the bad side of having cycle buddies on the fertilicare site – every time you see their name pop up you are reminded of how far along you would have been… It’s not their fault and I really wish them all the happiness they deserve, the problem lies with me.  I also suddenly realized that I was supposed to be 20 weeks along tomorrow – halfway…

Yesterday I decided that I cannot go on like this, I’ve been feeling down, weak and tired, because I’ve also had a head cold for the last week.  I looked for some message from God to help me and I turned on “the Di.vine Hea.ling Tech.nician” again and Cur.ry Bla.ke said right in the beginning that:  “If I can run you off, I can guarantee you the devil will.  The devil doesn’t like it when you start to get results (Cur.ry is talking about healing here), he doesn’t like it when you start getting into agreement to just stick and fight no matter what.  The devil is not stupid, he may be crazy, but he is not stupid – he’s been around a while and he’s figured some things out.  One of the things he’s figured out is that if a Christian decides to go against him, if he just stand still and doesn’t move, most Christians will give up and leave.

So basically it comes down to a staring contest to see who is going to break first and who is going to bolt first and most of the time if you just stand you can outlast him, but there are 2 ways to do it:  1.  Just get the grit to stand and start doing it and 2.  You can and should develop a reputation of standing and once you start to build a reputation of standing in the spirit realm the devil will start to leave a lot faster, because they are realizing that you are not budging…

The definition of faith is basically deciding what the object or conclusion is that you are after and then not moving until you get it!  Essentially faith is nothing more than courage, it’s the guts to stand when everybody runs!  Some people think faith is some mystical or whimsical thing that you can never measure, where you never know where you stand – let me tell you – you are as big as the last problem you beat, and you are just slightly smaller than the last problem that beat you.    If you want to have faith all you have to do is stand!  Faith is not quantity its quality! It’s the ability to stand when everybody else runs, it’s the ability to continue going, even when you don’t feel like it!”

When I listened to this I realized that I was feeling like giving up – feeling that I cannot fight the devil anymore and that is exactly what he wants!  I must not allow him to wear me out like this!  He is attacking me, and he wants me to give up, but I cannot allow it and I must stand strong!

I have a new game plan now – I need to focus on the positive – My cold is almost gone and I haven’t been taking any medicine for it since Sunday (and I felt terrible on Sunday!)   Shumi’s snot does seem a little less and my MIL knows a lady whose Labrador was diagnosed with the same tumour on the same day Shumi was and that dog went for radiation and he passed away already a few weeks ago… ( I don’t have anymore details, but that dog could have been much worse off than Shumi)  Shumi is physically still strong and he certainly does not seem to be getting worse!  I’m going to keep on confessing scriptures and rebuking the devil, because he was defeated 2000 years ago and he has no authority over us anymore.  I also going to keep looking for messages that will give me strength and help me to stay strong, especially when I feel weak.  I will try to help others where I can, and tell them about God and how much He loves them.  I will also NOT give up on God, I trust Him and He will help me…  I will not blame God for any of our troubles, but I will blame the devil.

Another update on us:

My mom got the results from her PET scan yesterday.  The Para aortic lymph nodes are definitely enlarged, but it does not seem to have grown since her last CT scan in May.  The report stated that it might not be malignant – I guess they don’t really know…  The doctor says it cannot be operated on so the next step is to see another oncologist and go for chemotherapy.  She will see a new oncologist next week and will then know what the treatments are going to involve.

Radiation is out of the question as the previous round of radiation did some damage to my mom’s intestines and her whole pelvic area is very inflamed.  She is very glad that she went for a second opinion as the previous oncologist just wanted to blast her with both radiation and chemo straight away, without doing any other tests… Although it’s not the news we were praying for, it is not too bad either.  The doctor believes that it is not a fatal disease, so we are praying for complete healing and a full recovery soon!

*

We decided to name our puppy Katie, and she has adjusted completely to our household.  She is just too adorable and I’m really enjoying her a lot!  I cannot believe how much she has grown in just over a week.  This time I have a better picture of her as she actually sat still for a few minutes.  Last week I could only take pictures while she was sleeping as she moved around too much and I just ended up with blurry pictures and maybe an ear or a tail in the picture!

We spoiled them yesterday by buying some toys for them and Shumi got another squeaky toy.  They are his absolute favourite!  He just loves getting our attention by letting it squeak!  He bites it very softly, just enough to let it squeak without breaking it.  Here is a video of Shumi chewing his squeaky hot dog.  We are still praying and confessing scriptures for complete healing for Shumi – I will not let go of him, I just love him too much…

*

About our IVF – I never took the birth control pills as I was supposed to – everything was just too much all at once when my cycle started… I was actually supposed to be on the lucrin injections already, but I just cannot go through an IVF at the moment, so I don’t think we will start next month either.  The official stance is – we are on a little break!  We will see when or if we will do another IVF again….

I want you to watch this video:  http://www.godtube.com/featured/video/brandis-story/inspiration

What do you think of this story?  Do you believe this is possible?  Do you believe God can do this?  This is exactly what the “Di.vine Hea.ling Tech.nician” is all about.  We don’t have to put up with sickness or disease, any of the devil’s lies, him stealing or destroying anything or anyone we love anymore!  I love some of the things Brandi says here.  We can also confess these things, each for our own unique personal circumstances and receive miraculous healing!

It is so important that we listen to what we are saying.  There is incredible power in the words we say and the thoughts we think.  Are you saying positive things, are you confessing God’s word or are you saying negative things for example talk about your infertility, or how difficult it is for you to conceive?  God can work miracles in your life, but you have to help Him – by confessing His word He is able to work in you and heal you.  You have to know that you have to stop negative comments and thoughts, because you are tying God’s hands with those and giving power to the enemy, and it’s so unnecessary because the enemy’s been defeated more than 2000 years ago!

Here are some confessions to help you, I even included some regarding fertility and having babies:

  • I fear not for God had given me a spirit of power, of love and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)
  • God is on my side!  (Romans 8:31)
  • The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.  (Psalm 23:1)
  • Cast all your cares on God, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7)
  • What is impossible with men is possible with God (Luke 18:27)
  • By His wounds I have been healed (1 Peter 2:24)
  • My God will supply all my needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19)
  • Believe that you will receive, whatever you asked for in prayer (Mark 11:24)
  • All things work together for good (Romans 8:28)
  • God will give you rest (Matthew 11:28)
  • God’s words will not return to Him empty, but will accomplish what He desires and achieve His purpose. (Isaiah 55:11)
  • He has given me authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy, nothing will harm me (Luke 10:19)
  • God will crush Satan under my feet.  The grace of Jesus is with me. (Romans 16:20)
  • Submit yourself to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)
  • No weapon forged against me will prevail; I will disprove every tongue that accuses me.  This is my heritage from the Lord, this is my vindication from Him (Isaiah 54:17)
  • I am united, one in spirit with the Lord (1 Corinthians 6:17)
  • For every promise God has made, the answer is Yes in Christ.  Through Him the Amen is spoken by us to the glory of God.  (2 Corinthians 1:20)
  • Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4)
  • God knows the plans He has for me, to prosper me, not to harm me, He will never leave me or forsake me.  (Jeremiah 29:11)
  • He will love me and bless me and increase my numbers.  He will bless the fruit of my womb.  We will be blessed more than any other people; none of us will be childless.  (Deuteronomy 7:13-14)
  • None will miscarry or be barren in God’s land.  He will give me a full lifespan.  (Exodus 23:26)
  • He settles the barren woman in her home as a happy mother of children.  (Psalm 113:9)
  • Women will be saved through childbearing – if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety (1 Timothy 2:15)

God’s great love!

I tried before to convey the message of God’s love in this post, but today I want to try again.  I’m afraid the words somehow just don’t seem enough to describe God’s love.  I realized that very often we “know intellectually” that God loves us, but how often do we feel it?  How often do we bask in His love?  So I want to share a video with you of a father’s love for his son:

http://www.godtube.com/featured/video/never-give-life/inspiration

Can you see here how much the pain of the son affected his father?  How the father was there in a flash with his son to be with him through his painful experience, to carry him further.  If an earthly father loves his son so much – how much more does our Heavenly Father not love us!  Why do we always think God is not with us in our pain?  Why do we always think He allows it, and that He wants to punish us?  That He wants us to learn a lesson from it?  I don’t think any earthly parent would let their child get hurt if it can be helped at all, just so that he can learn a lesson from it!  God is not like that!  Even though we might not be aware of His presence when we are in pain – He is still there with us and for us!

Have you ever loved someone with all your heart?  So much that you just want all that is good for that person?  So much that you want to protect them from hurt?  So much that you want them to be happy and you will do anything to help them when they are not?  So much that you easily forget anything they might do wrong, just as long as they are with you….  If you can love someone so much – how much more does God not love us?

Today I want to say to everyone:  God loves YOU!  He loves …………………. (Insert your name here). You are the apple of his eye!  He wants to help you – why don’t you let Him?  Why don’t you trust Him with your worries and problems and let Him carry you through it?  The dream of this son was shattered, and he hurt so much, physically and emotionally, but his father was there for him, to help carry him and to finish the race.  In the same way God is there for us to help us finish our race!

Don’t you know that God loved YOU so much, before time even began, that He made a plan to save YOU!  He gave His ALL for YOU!  He gave up His beloved Son for YOU!  He didn’t hold ANYTHING back!

How do you pray?

I found this funny clip on GodTube and I thought I’d share it with you.  I must confess my prayers were also like that for many years – basically just a list of requests and I never thought of giving God a chance to respond…

I’m having trouble inserting it into this post so here is the link:  http://www.godtube.com/featured/video/coffee-jesus/comedy
