Remember this post?  Well, it seems that the Holy Spirit just won’t let me stop thinking about this.  I think so often on how easy it is to fall back into unbelief and even though I know the scriptures and the promises in the Bible, if one doesn’t meditate on them and speak them out loud every day, even frequently a day, it’s so easy to just start to doubt if it will happen.  Yesterday, when I was giving myself a bit of a pep talk, I just “got it” again, and I want to share this with you, so that hopefully other people will also “get it” whether it is for the first time or a reminder just like I had to get again.

I think a lot of people have trouble believing that a lot of the scriptures in the Bible are promises for them.  I know for a long time I thought that one just cannot claim a specific scripture for yourself.  I thought that God’s will was different for every individual.  For example:  I thought that it was God’s will for some people to have children and that it was also his will for other people to never have children, and that we would never know on this earth why He would will it for some and not for others.

Then one day I started to learn the truth.  That God’s will is the same for every person on earth, and that God only wants all that is good for all of us, and that He wants to give us the desires of our hearts (if they are good desires off course).  I learnt that God has no favourites, and that it is not a case of that some people are getting blessings and others don’t. (Acts 10:34 (NIV): 34 Then Peter began to speak: I now realise how true it is that God does not show favouritism.” Romans 2:11 (NIV): 11 For God does not show favouritism.”)  God treats us all the same and He wants to give all of us the same blessings.  If I got fewer blessings than others it was not God’s fault, because He made it all available to me, but the problem was with me for not receiving it.

When God speaks there is incredible power in His words.  For example – In Genesis we see that God spoke everything into creation.  Genesis 1:3, 6, 9 (AMP):  “3 And God said, Let there be light; and there was light.  6 And God said, Let there be a firmament [the expanse of the sky] in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters [below] from the waters [above].  9 And God said, Let the waters under the heavens be collected into one place [of standing], and let the dry land appear. And it was so.” 

All it took was God’s words and everything in the whole cosmos was created.  And not only that but God’s Words cannot return to Him void, (Isaiah 55:11 (KJV): 11So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”) and that means that once God has said it, it cannot go back to Him until everything is accomplished of what it had to accomplish.  (To get a better understanding of this read this post.)  So for instance if the Bible says in Exodus 23:26 (NIV):  26 and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span,” then God’s word cannot return to Him until there is no more infertility or miscarriages on this earth. 

Then there is the importance of the covenants in the Bible.  They were like binding contracts, but those contracts were made by the spilling of blood.  In the Old Testament there is an example of one where God made a covenant with Abraham.

Genesis 15: 1-12 & 17-21 (NIV): “God’s Covenant With Abram: 1 After this, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward. 2 But Abram said, O Sovereign LORD, what can you give me since I remain childless and the one who will inherit my estate is Eliezer of Damascus? 3 And Abram said, You have given me no children; so a servant in my household will be my heir. 4 Then the word of the LORD came to him: This man will not be your heir, but a son coming from your own body will be your heir. 5 He took him outside and said, Look up at the heavens and count the stars— if indeed you can count them. Then he said to him, So shall your offspring be. 6 Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness. 7 He also said to him, I am the LORD, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to take possession of it. 8 But Abram said, O Sovereign LORD, how can I know that I shall gain possession of it?

9 So the LORD said to him, Bring me a heifer, a goat and a ram, each three years old, along with a dove and a young pigeon. 10 Abram brought all these to him, cut them in two and arranged the halves opposite each other; the birds, however, he did not cut in half. 11 Then birds of prey came down on the carcasses, but Abram drove them away. 12 As the sun was setting, Abram fell into a deep sleep, and a thick and dreadful darkness came over him.

17 When the sun had set and darkness had fallen, a smoking brazier with a blazing torch appeared and passed between the pieces. 18 On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram and said, To your descendants I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates— 19 the land of the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites, 20 Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaites, 21 Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites and Jebusites.”

Abraham had trouble believing the promises of God so the fourth time God promised him an heir and land God made a covenant with him, and the way to do it was by cutting animals in half and arranging them opposite each other on the ground.  That was the custom of the day, but the custom was for the lesser, or younger party to walk between the sacrificed animals and to do that meant that the person was willing to be cut in half, just like the animals, if he could not keep his part of the covenant.  In this case God was the one who moved in between the animals, even though he was NOT the lesser party, just so that Abraham could believe that His promise would come to pass.  Well, we know off course that God’s promises all came true and that Abraham was richly blessed not only with his promised son, but also other children, lots of land and incredible wealth. 

Galatians 3: 6-9 (NIV): 6 Consider Abraham: He believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness. 7 Understand, then, that those who believe are children of Abraham. 8 The Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: All nations will be blessed through you. 9 So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.”

Paul says here that everybody that believes in God is a child of Abraham, and because we believe we will be blessed just like Abraham.  But do you know what?  We have something that is even better than the blessings of Abraham, even though they are awesome enough as it is.

We have the New Covenant that God made with us.  How did he make this Covenant?  By giving His Son, Jesus Christ, as the sacrifice, by shedding the precious blood of Jesus, so that we can believe His promises for us.  Now think on this.  If Abraham was so richly blessed because of the covenant that God made with him, and there the sacrifice was a heifer, a goat, a ram, a dove and a pigeon, how much more shouldn’t we be blessed because HE GAVE HIS SON – JESUS CHRIST as the sacrifice, as a promise that He will keep His word.

I remember, every time when I read the story where God asked Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac, I thought – how can he do that?  He waited so long for his son, but even if he never waited, it must be impossible to give up your child!  Now that we have baby G, I still cannot fathom how Abraham could have gone out, ready to sacrifice his son.  To think what God did for us is so much more than what He asked of Abraham, because Jesus 1. WAS sacrificed and 2. the full wrath of God, all the punishment for every human being of all time, came down on Him.

Yesterday I realized that Jesus’ sacrifice was too high.  God gave more than what was necessary, so that we can have his promise, better than a promise, a covenant, a contract, bought with the blood of Jesus, that He will keep His Word, and that we will get what He promised us.  There is no reason why God would not want to give all His promises to us.  The price was too high!  Just try to imagine – He gave up everything for us, why wouldn’t He then give us all He has promised?  Imagine if you had to make a huge sacrifice for someone and for some reason that person did not receive what you gave them?  You certainly would not want to with hold whatever you were going to give, after you’ve already made that huge sacrifice!

Can you see how much God loves you? How much He has sacrificed for you?

Please understand God wants you to have every single promise He has made in His word.  I want to post some more posts in the next few weeks that explain how we are made righteous in God’s eyes, even though it might not feel that way and that we may think we don’t deserve His blessings, that God is gracious towards us, and that means that we get undeserved, unmerited favour from Him, and how to actually receive from God.

Here is some more from the teaching of An.drew Wom.mack that I started yesterday:

“See God has already given, but we look at our experience – well, so and so died, it couldn’t be God’s will to heal everybody.  See here is the problem – most people interpret God’s word by their experience.  They say, “Here is what God’s word says, but here is what happened!”  What is the answer?  Well, they come up with all kinds of things.  “Maybe it wasn’t God’s will.  Maybe God says no.”

God will never say no to something He’s already said yes to.  2 Corinthians 1, I believe its verse 26 says, “All the promises of God in Him are yea and in Him amen unto the Glory of God.” That means they are all positive, they are already yes, anything God promised you when He says that it’s His will that you be in health and prosper even as your soul prospers then God has already said yes to that.  You don’t have to wonder whether God is going to say no.  It’s not God saying no, God said yes!

But here we’ve got a conflict – every one of us can probably see examples in our life where God’s word promised us something to the best of our knowledge, we did what God said, and we didn’t see it come to pass.  How do you harmonize the 2?    Well you start with the scripture that I used this morning, Romans 3:4 says, “Yea, let God be true and every man a liar.”  You can also put in there, let God be true and your circumstances be a liar.  Don’t interpret God’s word by your circumstances; interpret your circumstances by God’s word.

If you’ve got a circumstance that says, “well, I asked God, I believed with all of my heart, and yet it didn’t work…”  The natural conclusion is therefore, “it doesn’t work for everyone.  Not everybody gets healed.  It isn’t God will for everyone to be set free.”  That’s the natural conclusions.  You need to change that, you need to go to God’s word and say, “Can I find a scripture that says that God doesn’t heal every time?  That it’s not God’s will to heal?”  If you can’t find it, then you tell your circumstances that they are wrong…  Amen!

Here is an explanation of this:  There are 2 worlds, there is a spiritual world and there is a physical world, and most people aren’t really aware of the spiritual world and what’s going on in the spiritual world, but it does exist.  As a matter of fact the spiritual world created this physical world that we see.  It says in Hebrews 11, “We understand that the worlds were created by things that are not seen.”  It didn’t say things that don’t exist, they do exist but they aren’t physical.  Everything physical was created by something spiritual.  There is a spiritual reality for everything physical we see.

There is a whole spiritual world out there – did you know that the Bible says that there are angels assigned to each one of us?  Everyone of you have angels that are with you constantly, for your own protection, and I personally believe that in the Old Testament there was a 186 000 angels assigned to one person and if that is so, then what we’ve got makes that look like nothing in comparison!  According to 2 Corinthians 3, every one of us must have hundreds of thousands of angels to our disposal.

Now if you take hundreds of thousands and multiply it times the number of people in this room, then this room is crowded, Amen?  We’ve got all kinds of spiritual things in here but you don’t see it, and most of you, if you don’t see it you don’t think it, and you don’t believe it and you don’t know it exists and therefore you don’t draw on it.

Look at this in 2 Kings 6, this is an example of what we are talking about, this is Elisha, he was the successor to Elijah.  Elisha was a mighty prophet of God and the king of Syria was fighting against the Israelites and every time he would go down and set a trap for the king of Israel, Elisha would be told by God, and he would tell the king of Israel, the King of Israel would send spies out there and they would find that it was true and he would escape.  After a few times of this happening the king of Syria says, “one of us is a spy for the king of Israel.”   One of his servant girls, it was a captive that they’ve taken out of the land of Israel said, “it’s none of us, but there is a prophet in Israel that tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bed chamber.”  When this king heard that, he decided that he is going send his armies down and that he would capture Elisha.  So here is the story of it in verse 13, it says, “Go and spy where he is so that I may send and fetch him, and he was told, in saying, behold he is in Dothan, therefore send he forth horses and chariots and great hosts, and they came by night and encompassed the city about and when the servant of the man of God was risen early and gone forth, behold an host encompassed the city with horses and chariots and his servant said unto him, ‘alas my master, how shall we do?’”

That’s old English for saying, “Man, what are we going to do?”  And then he panicked – he saw these armies and he knew why they were there.  And look at Elisha’s answer.  He said, “fear not for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.”

You know if you don’t understand that there is a spiritual world, and that it is real and it exists, just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean it don’t exist.  Now if you don’t understand that, people would think that Elisha lied.  See a lot of people when it comes to confessing the world of God and saying, “By His stripes I am healed,” and any idiot can look at you and tell that you aren’t healed, Amen?  I mean you look sick, you feel sick; you act sick, anybody can tell that you are sick!  You’re just lying!  It’s just positive lies!

I don’t know if any of you have ever been taken to task for confessing the word of God when it didn’t look so, well, see people who would believe that way would say, “Well, Elisha lied!” He said that there were more with him then there were with the enemy.  And yet you could look out there and count the enemy by the thousands, 1000, 2000, 3000 and here Elisha was saying, one, two…  Amen?  And there was more with him than there was with the enemy?  How do you explain that?  The answer was, that there wasn’t more physically but see in the spiritual realm there were more.

It says in verse 17, “Elisha prayed and said, ‘Lord, I pray that you open his eyes that he may see.’  And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man and he saw and behold the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire around about Elisha.”  Praise God!  He was speaking the truth.  A person that says that it is a lie to say that you are healed, when you don’t feel healed, what that means is, you’re only looking at the natural realm.  The only thing that you consider to be true is what you see, taste, hear, smell or feel – you’re 5 senses.  And if that is what you consider to be facts, then yes it’s a lie, because according to your physical senses there are times that you speak that you are healed and you don’t feel healed.

But see, one of the keys to walking with the Lord is recognising that you’ve got to walk in the spirit.  There is a spiritual world out there; there are spiritual realities you can’t prove in a test tube.  How do you know what spiritual realities are?

I mean if you want to see the physical truth, if you want to see if your hair is combed, you go look in a mirror.  I have no idea right now if my hair is combed.  I hope it’s combed, but you know I can’t tell by my 5 senses.  I have to look in a mirror and I’ve got to trust what I see in that mirror.  How do you know that mirror is telling you the truth?  You’ve never seen the top of your head, all you’ve ever seen is a representation of it, a reflection of it, you don’t know….  “Well, I’ve seen a reflection, well, I’ve seen a picture…”  You have to take by faith that what you are seeing is true.  Well, see the Bible says that John 6:63, “The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life.”  God’s word says that this is spirit, this is true.

What you read in the Bible is what spiritual truth is, so if you want to see if your hair is combed you go look in a mirror, and if you want to see what your spirit is like or if you want to see what is happening in the spirit then you hold the Bible up and look at it and whatever it says you just believe it.

The Bible says that Elisha had angels and chariots round about him and the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 3 that, “What they had, had no glory compared to what we got.”  It says in Peter that, “They were longing for the day that we live in because what we got is so much better than what they’ve got.”  If Elisha had angels and chariots round about him, praise God, I’ve got at least as many as he had and more round about me!  If he was able to take an entire nation captive with the power of God, then praise God I can do the same thing.  There is a whole spiritual world that exists out there.

You know our sister that got born again this morning, praise God for seeing her today, I was talking to her before the service, and I said, you’ve now got Jesus living in the inside of you and the same works that Jesus did you can do also (John 14:12).  You can do all of these things.  She was just looking at me kind of stunned!  That’s the truth – she’s now got God Almighty on the inside of her and as much as she can renew her little peanut brain – I’m not speaking specifically about you – all of us have a little peanut brain – and as much as we can renew our little peanut brain, we can receive this life of God in the inside of us.

But see one of the things that limit it, is we only think in the physical realm.  We say the Bible says, “Ask and you shall receive,” “I asked and I didn’t receive…,” well how do you know?  “Well I didn’t see it!”  Just because you didn’t see it, does that mean God’s word isn’t true and that God didn’t do it?

I want to propose to you – and a lot of you never thought of this, that God can answer your prayer and you don’t even know it.  Because see, God is a spirit, John 4:24 says, “God is a spirit and those who worship him must worship Him and in spirit and truth.”  Did you know that when God answers your prayer He doesn’t give it to you in a physical form?  He gives it to you in spiritual form…  If you ask for finances, finances are material; do you know what God will do?  He will release the spiritual power that it takes to produce those finances into your life, and He will always do it.  If you ask, you do receive.  God gave it.  If you seek, God will give it to you.  God is faithful; God always, always, always answers everything.  If you prayed for healing – God gave you healing, but He gives it to you in spiritual form.  And God’s operation independent of you ends in the spiritual realm.

God is not the one that is going to manifest it into the physical.  Do you know what does that?  Faith!  Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance,” substance is talking about physical tangible reality. “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”  Faith brings into physical tangible reality things that already exist in the spirit.  Faith doesn’t make things happen in the spirit.  They already happened by God’s grace, but your faith brings what God has accomplished into physical reality.  Is everybody following that?  God answers your prayers, but God gives it to you in your spirit and then your faith brings it from the spirit into the physical realm.  So if you’re praying for healing, God releases healing into you, but that don’t mean that you are going to see healing, unless you believe, unless you know how to co-operate.  Faith brings spiritual things into physical form.

An example of this is like radio.  Do you know right now we are using radio for you to hear me?  This microphone is a wireless radio, that’s what it is.  It’s broadcasting the signal over there and it picks it up and is broadcast over the speakers, but did you know that there is more than just this radio signal in this room?  There are literally dozens of radio signals and television signals in this room.  If you say, well, I don’t believe it, why?  Because I can’t hear it?  That doesn’t mean that they aren’t here!  That just means that you aren’t very smart!

There are things that exist beyond your capability to comprehend them with your physical natural ability.  You can’t hear radio and television signals even though they are in here and they are loud.  Do you know why you can’t hear them?  Because they are broadcast at a very high frequency, a frequency that is outside the human hearing range.  But they are in here and those signals are just as loud as this signal that we are tuned into.  There are many signals in here but the difference is that you can’t hear them; they are out of your range.  But they are here and they do exist and it is a physical, tangible reality.  But what happens is you get a receiver that can hear those things and it picks out an individual signal.  It can choose which signal it wants, it picks that out and then it re-broadcasts it, it demodulates it down a number of octaves and re-broadcasts it in a range that your ear can hear and that is the reason you hear me instead of all of the radio and television signals, but did you know they are also in here?

It’s just like God. God answers prayer, God will give it to you, but many people they don’t even know that God’s answered their prayer.  They aren’t able to perceive it, they aren’t able to get it and they aren’t able to put it down into the realm where they can perceive it and operate in it in their physical realm.  So they say, well, God didn’t do it.  Well, see the radio station is faithful.  The radio station – the signal is here – but whether you tune into it, turn it on, get it to the right frequency, whether you know how to make that thing work or not, has nothing to do with whether the power has been generated and whether the signal is released.

Did you know God has answered our prayers?  Anytime any of you have ever prayed for anything based on God’s word and you prayed in faith, God gave you your answer, but He gives it to you in a spiritual form, and whether you get it into the physical and whether you see it, is not dependent on whether God answers your prayer, it’s dependent on whether you can receive from God.  Amen?  That is important.

When I saw this, what it did – you see I had experiences in my life, like this girl I was telling you about that Jamie and I saw die, that really affected me.   And I guarantee you I had problems with it.  And I had a decision.  Was I going to get bitter and say, “God why didn’t you do it?”  Or was I going to hold on to, “God, you are faithful, You didn’t miss it, we missed it.”  I had a choice to make.  I just chose to believe that, “God I believe you answered our prayers, I don’t know why it didn’t work and it took me about 3 years before I began to find out some of the reasons why.

Every one of you have had instances where you have prayed or are in the process of praying for something and you haven’t seen it manifest yet.  You’ve got a decision to make.  Are you going to say, “Well, God why haven’t you done anything yet?”  The Bible says, “You’ve got to believe before you receive when you pray,” not when you see it, but when you pray.”

Recently I listened to An.drew Wom.mack’s teaching on How to receive a Miracle again and I realized there are some awesome explanations in there of things that are often misunderstood by Christians, and that it will help a lot of you who are still waiting for your miracles.  It was also a useful reminder to me, I must admit…

Mark 11, this is where Jesus cursed the fig tree and the fig tree dried up from the roots, the next day the disciples saw it, they were amazed, and they asked Jesus about it and this was His reaction, Mark 11:22, “He answered and said unto them, have faith in God, for verily I say unto you that who so ever shall say unto this mountain…,” who so ever, that means that this applies to every person in this room, “Who so ever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he sayeth shall come to pass, he shall have what so ever he sayeth. Therefore I say unto to you what things so ever you desire when you pray, believe that you receive them and ye shall have them.”


This passage of scripture’s got so much in it that we can teach on this for weeks, so I’m just having to hit a couple of things but one of the points I wanted to show you here is verse 24, He says, “what the things you so ever desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them and you shall have them.”  You’ve got to believe you receive now and then you shall – future tense – have it. That future tense may only be a second, a minute, a week, a month, but you got to believe right now. You don’t believe when you see it, you’ve got to believe when you pray. Now that is so simple, and yet this is where a lot of Christians stumble.

I’m teaching on how to receive a miracle from God and I’m just teaching a lot of it out of experience as I’ve dealt with people. What is it that hangs people up? And do you know most people, when I pray for them and lay hands on them, by the time they hit the ground, if they feel healed, then they are able to believe. Most people can maintain faith for 5 seconds, but the problem is when you pray and you walk out and you haven’t seen it manifest. 99% of even spirit filled, tongue talking word type people, have their faith just to start decreasing fast as soon as they don’t see a manifestation. Most people struggle with it.

And see the Bible says that you’ve got to believe that you will receive when you pray and then you shall have it, so what I want to share with you tonight, are some simple things, explanations, again I want to make this point, that the word of God and the kingdom of God is based on laws. There are rules, there are ways that things work and you don’t have to be ignorant of the things of God.

Paul said, “I’d not have you to be ignorant concerning the things of God,” in Ephesians 5, yet most of us are ignorant. Ignorance is a breeding ground for unbelief and for problems, there are answers to things, and there is a reason why you pray sometimes here and it’s only here before you see a manifestation.

What I’d like to explain tonight is why sometimes there is a period of time in between when you say “amen and there it is.” That’s the terminology Jerry Seville uses. There are things going on – if you understand this it will take away anxiety, it will take away worry and care and frustration, it will help you to stand and be able to believe and it could make a big, big difference in your life.

Look at Matthew 7, this is a familiar passage of scripture that everybody knows and doesn’t believe. It says, “Ask and it shall be given you, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you.” This is an awesome promise in God’s word. Did you know honestly, if tonight we were just acting like we were brand new, like we have never heard this scripture before, or if this concept had never come to you, and if I was here speaking, “Thus sayeth the Lord, ask and it shall be given to you,” did you know most of you would say, “that’s too good to believe.” That would be hard to believe. This is an awesome promise, and yet most Christians know this, you can quote it, we sing songs about it yet we don’t believe it…

Do you know why? It’s because I asked and I didn’t receive, I sought and I didn’t find, I knocked and it wasn’t opened to me, and so we arrive at this problem – here is what God’s word says, here’s what my experience says… How do you harmonise the 2?

Most of us say, “I don’t understand and we just lose our excitement, our authority in the word of God and you wouldn’t sit there and openly say, “well I just don’t believe that scripture,” but in practise you don’t expect it to work like that, and we will develop an elaborate systems of doctrine to explain why it doesn’t work and religious systems come out and say, “well, not everyone that asks receives.” See the next verse, verse 8 that says “everyone that asks receives…” That’s not true! The Bible says that “everyone that asks receives,” but this person asked and they didn’t receive…

I remember a good example of a very good friend of Jamie and I, had leukaemia and I was with her when she died, and she believed God to heal her. She stood up and testified at one of James Robinson’s meetings, with over 4000 people that God was going to heal her and I mean it shook us when she wasn’t healed. We prayed for her to be raised from the dead for a long period of time and it’s a long story but I mean, we believed the best we knew how, and if you would have been there you would have thought that this girl believed with all of her heart, when she was dying she said, “It’s got to be soon… It’s got to be soon…”

She was expecting God to heal her at any moment, yet she strangled on her own blood as she haemorrhaged, and you look at that and you see that and I can tell you what her father’s reaction was. He came to me and he said, “Well, I think we were wrong. It couldn’t be God’s will to heal every time or she would have been healed.”

What he was saying was, she believed with everything she had. Well it looked that way, it really did and I guarantee you that at the time she died I didn’t have an answer. But I told people, I said, “look, God’s word promised that it was His will to heal her” and I said, “I don’t know what happened but God doesn’t lie. It was God’s will to heal her,” and I said, “maybe she missed it, maybe I missed it, maybe her family missed it, maybe all of us missed it, something’s wrong but it wasn’t God that was at fault. It was God’s will to heal her and I had people get mad at me, I had people reject me and it was 3 years before I found out what was wrong, but man, it was a miracle we got as far as we did!

God’s healing was in her body! It was supernatural and we short circuited it, we didn’t understand anything about how to walk in faith and we just allowed the devil to beat us on that one. Some of you are saying, “Well, that is terrible that you could do something that would actually cause a person to die.” Brothers and sisters it’s just the truth. You can go out here and fall asleep at the wheel and you can kill somebody. You do have responsibility in the kingdom of God. There is responsibility for us to believe God and God just can’t violate all of his laws.

Sometimes we think, “Then why didn’t God come down and intervene?” Because there are laws put down and God observes His own laws. He’s bound Himself by His own word, that’s gone out of His mouth when He says, “You have power to heal, if you don’t use that power to heal it’s not going to get done!” Again, people don’t like that. I had a Baptist pastor come to me one time and we were talking about this one girl that needed to be healed. He said, “Look if God wants her healed, she is going to be healed whether you or I pray for her or not.”

It’s not so. God’s will does not automatically come to pass. The Bible says in 2 Peter 3:9, it says, “God isn’t willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” That is God’s will, but is every person going to come to repentance? No, because they have a choice in the thing, and also we have the responsibility to preach the Gospel, it says in Romans 10, “How can they believe if they don’t hear? And how can they hear except somebody preach the gospel.” Man, there is a responsibility on us. There are people dying and going to hell that were ordained, God loves them, He’s provided for them and yet, they aren’t going to receive because they didn’t hear.

People don’t like that so we make theology see, we just change our theology to fit the situation so that we will feel good but the truth is, God’s will doesn’t come to pass perfectly. Amen? I hope I’m getting you to think. Some of you are looking at me strange. “You mean God’s will doesn’t automatically come to pass in my life?” People preach the sovereignty of God, which I may be stepping on your religious toes right here… Sovereignty literally means independent, such as the United States is independent, we have declared our independence from Great Britain, and so we are now a sovereign nation. That means nobody dictates to us, but does that mean that we are without control, that we are without laws? No, we’ve got laws, there are restraints, we’ve got a constitution that dictates what this nation is like, but nobody else wrote it for us, it is not imposed upon us by somebody else, we wrote our own constitution. We’ve got limits but they are self imposed limits.

When we say God is sovereign people will say that, “well, you never know what God is going to do. God can do anything He wants to, God may do it this way one time, God might do it that way, God can do anything. If God wanted to he can come down and just heal you, whether you believe in faith or not!” That is not so! God has bound Himself by His word; I used that scripture this morning, Psalms 89:34, He said, “my covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that has gone forth out of my lips.” When He says, You resist the devil and he will flee from you,” that means that if you don’t resist the devil, he won’t flee. God cannot rebuke the devil for you. And it’s wrong is you are saying, “O, God get the devil off my back,” God can’t do it. God gave you authority over the devil; you’ve got to learn what God’s given you. You’ve got to start exercising what God has given you. It’s not God that’s letting the devil run roughshod over you, it’s you that’s letting the devil run roughshod over you…

We are the ones that need to be turned on! God is not the one that needs to get stirred up. It gets me about intercessors today man, they’re just in there shaking God’s cage until He does something, “God, move, move!” God is not the one that we need to get motivated. You don’t need to beg with God to move in the Denver area, God wants to do something – He is trying to rattle your cage! To get you going! So much of our intercession, 90% of it is trying to motivate God to do something, God is more motivated than you are! You don’t have to pray for God to send a revival, God sent it 2000 years ago, what you need to do is get in there in the line of fire, amen, let some of it rub off on you, and God flow through you…”

I read these verses again this morning in my Bible study:  2 Corinthians 1:19-20 (NIV):  19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by me and Silas and Timothy, was not Yes and No, but in him it has always been Yes.   20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are Yes in Christ. And so through him the Amen is spoken by us to the glory of God.” 


Another verse I read this weekend in a book I’m reading, that goes well with the one above is:  Numbers 23:19 (NIV):  19 God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfil?” 

For someone who has experienced receiving some of His promises these verses mean so much and one of my heart’s desires is that everyone who is hoping and wishing for a baby or healing can experience the same thing – because that is also what God wants for EVERYONE!  How do I know it is for everyone?  Because of Acts 10:34 (NIV):  34 Then Peter began to speak: I now realise how true it is that God does not show favouritism.”  God wants the same things for all of us, because he does not show favouritism to anyone.

I know so many people don’t know what God’s will is, and I just want to remind everyone who is reading this to know the truth as it is written in God’s word.  Please know this is applicable to every single person on earth – it is freely available to you and all you need to do is reach out and receive it.

So what are God’s promises for everyone?

Promises of a family:

Genesis 1:28 (NIV):
  “…Be fruitful and increase in number…”

Exodus 23:25-26 (NIV):  25 Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away  sickness from among you, 26 and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span.”

Deuteronomy 7:13-14 (NIV):  13 He will love you and bless you and increase your numbers. He will bless the fruit of your womb, the crops of your land— your grain, new wine and oil— the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks in the land that he swore to your forefathers to give you.    14 You will be blessed more than any other people; none of your men or women will be childless, nor any of your livestock without young.”

Deuteronomy 28:1-4 (NIV):  1 If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands that I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.    2 All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God: 3 You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.    4 The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock— the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.”

Mark 5:24-34 (NIV): 24 So Jesus went with him. A large crowd followed and pressed around him. 25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. 26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28 because she thought, If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed. 29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering. 30 At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, Who touched my clothes? 31 You see the people crowding against you, his disciples answered, and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’ 32 But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. 33 Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. 34 He said to her, Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”

The last few years I was somehow touched every time I read the story of the woman with the issue of blood in the Bible.   I think it had to do with the fact that she suffered for many years (12 years) and was healed.  It gave me hope somehow that even if you have a condition for many years that you can still be healed.  I think the fact that it was a gynecological problem made me also identify with her.

More recently I have learnt even more about this woman and her circumstances that make me admire her.  We don’t always  understand the significance of specific details, because the way we live and our culture is so much different today than it was in Biblical times.  The fact that she was permanently bleeding meant that she was unclean in the eyes of the Jews and the priests.

Leviticus 15:19-33 (NIV):  19 ‘When a woman has her regular flow of blood, the impurity of her monthly period will last seven days, and anyone who touches her will be unclean till evening.   20 ‘Anything she lies on during her period will be unclean, and anything she sits on will be unclean.  21 Whoever touches her bed must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening.  22 Whoever touches anything she sits on must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening.   23 Whether it is the bed or anything she was sitting on, when anyone touches it, he will be unclean till evening.  24 ‘If a man lies with her and her monthly flow touches him, he will be unclean for seven days; any bed he lies on will be unclean.  25 ‘When a woman has a discharge of blood for many days at a time other than her monthly period or has a discharge that continues beyond her period, she will be unclean as long as she has the discharge, just as in the days of her period.  26 Any bed she lies on while her discharge continues will be unclean, as is her bed during her monthly period, and anything she sits on will be unclean, as during her period.  27 Whoever touches them will be unclean; he must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening.  28 ‘When she is cleansed from her discharge, she must count off seven days, and after that she will be
ceremonially clean.  29 On the eighth day she must take two doves or two young pigeons and bring them to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.  30 The priest is to sacrifice one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering. In this way he will make atonement for her before the LORD for the uncleanness of her discharge.   31 ‘You must keep the Israelites separate from things that make them unclean, so they will not die in their uncleanness for defiling my dwelling-place, which is among them.’  32 These are the regulations for a man with a discharge, for anyone made unclean by an emission of semen, 33 for a woman in her monthly period, for a man or a woman with a discharge, and for a man who lies with a woman who is ceremonially unclean.”

Leviticus 13:45 (NIV):  45 The person with such an infectious disease must wear torn clothes, let his hair be unkempt, cover the lower part of his face and cry out, ‘Unclean! Unclean!’”

Numbers 19:20 (NIV):  20 But if a person who is unclean does not purify himself, he must be cut off from the community, because he has defiled the sanctuary of the LORD. The water of cleansing has not been sprinkled on him, and he is unclean.”

When this woman went out in Public she was supposed to shout “Unclean!  Unclean!” every now and then to warn the people around her that she was unclean so that they would not accidently touch her and become unclean themselves.  All unclean people had to do that – there were many rules about what made a person unclean, but this permanent haemorrhaging of blood was only one of the causes.  There was actually a law that said that they could stone an unclean person to death should they cause other people to become unclean too.  Unclean people’s lifestyles were severely restricted in those days – they could not come into the temple, they could not participate in any of the religious ceremonies and I’m sure other people did not treat them well.  It  says they were cut off from the community – can you imagine living like that for 12 years?

So this woman actually took a huge risk by getting into that crowd that pressed so close to Jesus.   There was no way that she was able to touch Jesus’ hem without touching a lot of other people too.  And then Jesus turned around and asked who touched Him.  That was why she was trembling with fear when she admitted it was her.  She was healed, but she could still receive the death penalty for causing other people to become unclean.

It was extremely courageous of her to do what she did, and just shows us how desperate she was.   It says that she suffered a lot under the physicians and that they could not help her and that her condition grew worse.   I’m sure she thought Jesus was her last option and only hope.  She was desperate…

There is another significant fact in this story.  It says there was a large crowd pressed around Jesus – now I’m sure at least some of those people also had some kind of ailment or disease.  But it’s only mentioned that this woman got healed.  Why didn’t the others also get healed?  Surely they must have touched Jesus too?

It’s because she decided beforehand that if she touched Jesus’ clothes that she would get healed.  There is nowhere else in the Bible that it mentions something like this.  No one else got healed in this way, certainly not before this woman got healed like this.  So it was something that she must have thought of herself and believed that it would happen.   That is why Jesus said her faith has healed her.

Another important fact is that she was healed without Jesus even being aware of her.  So He didn’t know that she was going to touch His garment and that He would heal her this way.   He only became aware of her healing when He realized that power had gone out of Him.  Many different places in the New Testament it says that Jesus and even His disciples healed everyone.  So this is just one more way to prove that Jesus wants to heal everyone.  It’s not God’s will for some to be healed and for another not to be healed.  He wants healing for everyone and if you believe, if you do the right things healing will come automatically.  In this case all she did was to decide beforehand that if she just touched the clothes of Jesus’ she will be healed, she believed it, acted upon it and it happened automatically.

Unfortunately in my case and I think in a lot of other people’s lives we wait until we are in the same desperate situation as this woman was before we start to believe and act upon our faith to get our healing.  We often want to do things in our own way and in our own strength and when that doesn’t work anymore and we have no more options then only do we turn to God…  But I guess the important thing is that we do eventually turn to God…

But it makes me wonder how different things could have been if I had known all this 11 years ago – I know I must have prayed hundreds, maybe thousands of times for God to heal me and to bless us with children and all that time God was waiting for me to change.  If you are in the same situation – why don’t you do that sooner rather than later, you won’t regret it!  I can certainly testify that God is so faithful!  If you are faithful to Him, if you know and believe the right stuff, God will heal you too!  It’s not a matter of if He wants to, only a matter of when, and that depends on you not on God…

God’s Will:

So often people think or say that it might not be God’s will for someone to have children for instance.  I’m sure most of you can relate to that.  I know I wondered for many years if it’s God’s will for us to have children.  I also know some people say things like, “well, maybe it’s not God’s will for you to have a baby.”

An.drew Wom.mack says, “If it was just up to God’s will if we should have children or not then prostitutes, unwed mothers, drug addicts, people that would abuse their children, none of them would ever have children.  It is not God’s will for people to sin, so to conceive a child out of wedlock for instance, is also not God’s will.  If it was just up to God’s will and if God was directly controlling all of this, those people would never get pregnant!”

God gave power to us humans – authority over the earth.  Genesis 1:26 (NIV):  26 Then God said, Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”  God also blessed us to have children.  Genesis 9:7 (NIV):  7As for you, be fruitful and increase in number; multiply on the earth and increase upon it.”

So it is clear that God gave us authority over all the earth, but that means that He has taken some of His authority away.  That means that He wants us to do certain things, that is our responsibility and He won’t interfere with those things where He has given His authority over to us.

If we humans co-operate with the natural laws, we will get pregnant and have children.  If a woman has intercourse with a man without using birth control most of the time she will get pregnant whether she is married or not, whether she would be a good mother or not, whether she abuses her body or not.

If we look in the Bible to Abraham, Sarah and Ishmael – Ishmael was not part of God’s original plan for Abraham.  He had a better plan, but they got impatient and made their own plan. God still blessed Ishmael after Abraham asked Him to, but Ishmael was never part of God’s plan.  So Ishmael should never have been born if everything works just according to God’s will.  It doesn’t mean that those children that are born outside God’s will, that God doesn’t love them or don’t want to bless them.

I think the opposite is therefore also true.  If children are born outside of God’s will then some people might not have children, although it was God’s will for them to have children.  I think a lot of infertile couples are missing out on babies that they were supposed to have had.  I know sickness, disease, infertility, miscarriages, etc are not part of God’s will, so I’m sure a lot of babies never get born, because for some reason the devil manages to steal, kill and destroy.  (John 10:10) I realize now that it was never God’s will for me to miscarry either of our 2 babies, so I believe that means that God had plans for those 2 babies of ours.

That is sad, incredibly sad.  I wish I could tell every single couple who are struggling to conceive that God wants them to have babies.  That God cannot wait to bless them, and that they must just receive it. That it’s not necessary to be miserable and long for children and have AF arrive month after month.  That  we don’t have to wait on God, because God is waiting on US!

It doesn’t matter what is wrong with you – nothing is impossible for God!  God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, and He is no respecter of persons and that all the same miracles that happened in the Bible is still possible today!

Yet a lot of people don’t believe any of that, and a lot of them are Christians, or they say they are, yet they don’t know God at all. They have been deceived by the devil so much, they believe all the religious lies that the devil has told them about, “Maybe it’s not God’s will for us to have a baby,”  or “God’s timing is perfect and I’ll get pregnant when God decides,” or “Maybe I need to learn a lesson first,” or ‘I’m waiting on God…”

When will you be desperate enough, or fed up with your situation and decide that enough is enough.  Only when I got to that stage, when I was willing to do anything for God, to humiliate myself publically if things  were not going to work out as I hoped, and trust God completely that He would come through for me – that was when I got my breakthrough.  You have to put your foot down and get to know God personally, learn what He wants for you and how He wants to bless you, and decide to stop letting the devil steal, kill and destroy.  As long as you allow the devil to get away with it, that is how long he will stick around. You have to get mad at the devil – An.drew Wom.mack calls it righteous indignation – we are in a war and as long as we don’t fight back we will lose the battle!

So it is up to you.  What are you going to do about it? Are you going to stop blaming God and do something about it?

Very often when I speak to people I realize that most people including Christians don’t know God at all.  They have no idea what God’s will is and how it impacts them.  They believe lies about God, mostly because that is what they heard in church and from other Christians. 

So often I hear people say: “God is tempting me,” or “teaching me a lesson,” or “maybe it’s not God’s will for us not to be healed/not to have a baby,” or “God allowed it,” or stuff like that and I get so sad, because then I know that that person does not know God’s character. 

I have said this many times, and I guess I’ll have to say it many more times, but God does not punish us with sickness or infertility.  God does not give it to us to teach us a lesson, read this post if you’re not convinced by this post.  Yes, most often we do learn lessons from it, but that is us, not God doing it.   Most Christians still live under the old Covenant, and have no idea that they have a new Covenant with God or what that new Covenant entails – if you haven’t read it you can read more about it here.

To prove who God is I’m going to quote a bit from And.rew Wom.mack’s teaching:   Don’t limit God.

1.   God’s sovereignty:

“The normal doctrine in the church today is that God is almighty that He is sovereign and that nobody can limit God.  I’ll agree that God is sovereign if you would use the word sovereign the way that the dictionary defines it.  The dictionary says sovereign is first in rank, order or authority.  It would be like saying he is at the top of the food chain.  If you want to say that about God I agree 100%.  God is almighty, He is first in command, but to say that God chooses everything, controls everything and if your life is a mess God willed it – that is wrong. 

It always amazes me when I go to funerals.  People get up and say, “Well, we don’t know why God took this person.”  They just automatically make an assumption that when you die it’s because your number is up, and you can’t die unless it’s God’s will.  That is not so!  That is absolutely untrue!

Genesis 2:16-17 (NIV):  16 And the LORD God commanded the man, You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.”

God does not want us to die!  He told us not to do it!  We ate from the tree and we were the ones who ushered in death! 

Hebrews 2:14-15 (NIV):  14Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death— that is, the devil— 15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.”

Jesus came to destroy him who had power over death and that is the devil.  It’s Satan who kills people!  Satan comes only to steal and kill and destroy! (John 10:10 (NIV)) But Jesus said, I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”  God doesn’t control every person when they die!  God doesn’t control if babies are born deformed and things like that!  God isn’t the author of evil!  God is a good God! 

In the Old Testament there are examples of the wrath of God, but praise God the Bible makes it very clear that under the new Covenant we have been redeemed from the curse and Jesus is not the one who is putting problems on you!  It says in James 1:13-14 (NIV):  13 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed.”  God is not the author of evil, God is not doing these things and yet the church is saying this. 

God does not sovereignly rule your life like a chess piece and just determine what’s happening – you cannot blame God for the failures in your life.  God has a perfect plan for every single person’s life and if you are not seeing that plan fulfilled, if your life isn’t very exciting it’s not God’s fault.  If your life is not supernatural, your life is superficial.  If your life is not going good it’s not because God doesn’t have a plan for you, it’s because you are not co-operating.  You haven’t found out that plan, but I’m telling you that God doesn’t just sovereignly control your life and make it work out.  You have to pursue the things of God in order to receive it.

One of the reason people teach the doctrine of sovereignty is so that they can dodge all responsibility.  For ministers it’s really a convenient theology – You can pray for a person and if they die, well then, “Que sera, sera, what will be, will be.  “Well you don’t know why God took them; it must have been God’s will…”  You know what?  It saves you from having to deal with problems and reality and failure, so that is the reason it’s convenient. 

We can miss God’s will.  Now God can take anything and work it for good (Romans 8:28 (NIV):  28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”), but God didn’t cause it, God doesn’t do it and yet God can work something awesome out of anything negative that the devil throws at you.

2.   God respects your free will:

God gave you a free will and he respects your free will. God is not going to force you to do anything.  You have to stir yourself up or you will sink to the bottom.  You’ll find that when Jesus came to the earth he said, “I’m meek and lovely.”  He had to be invited even when His disciples were drowning in Matt 14.

Matthew 14:25-32 (NIV):  25 During the fourth watch of the night Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake.   26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. It’s a ghost, they said, and cried out in fear.   27 But Jesus immediately said to them: Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.  28 Lord, if it’s you, Peter replied, tell me to come to you on the water.  29 Come, he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came towards Jesus.  30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, Lord, save me!  31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. You of little faith, he said, why did you doubt?  32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down.”

Jesus came walking on the water, you know the reason He was walking on the water was to save His disciples, but He made as though He would have walked past them.  He went and showed Himself to His disciples in the midst of the Sea of Galilee while they were drowning, and He didn’t come running up and say, “Hold on!  I’m coming,” and then saved them.  He came, showed Himself and they had to cry out and ask Him for help. 

Luke 24:28-29 (NIV):  28 As they approached the village to which they were going, Jesus acted as if he were going further.   29 But they urged him strongly, Stay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over. So he went in to stay with them.”

It’s the same when Jesus met the two on the road to Emmaus.  They had to invite Jesus to come in.    God wants you to invite Him in, that’s just the way He is – He doesn’t force Himself.  You’ve got the right to go to hell and He will defend your right – nobody can force you to choose God.  You have to invite Him in – you have to open up the door.

3.   God works through people:

Ephesians 3:20 (NIV):  20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,”

If you don’t have any power, any faith stirred up in the inside of you, if you aren’t believing God for anything then God cannot do exceedingly, abundantly above all you ask or think.  God has to flow through somebody.  God always uses a person; see again this goes against the whole teaching of the sovereignty of God.  That God just sovereignly moves.  There is no such thing as God moving independently of people.  God moves through people.  God always has to have a man or a woman, there has to be some person that God speaks through.  That’s why God raised up Moses – He had to speak through him. 

God gave authority over this earth to physical human beings and when God did that, it limited what God could do, because God Himself is a Spirit (John 4:24 (NIV):  24 God is spirit, and his worshippers must worship in spirit and in truth.”)  God gave control of this physical earth to people with physical bodies (Genesis 1:26 (NIV):  26 Then God said, Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”)  

That is the reason Jesus had to become a man, to come down here and deal with the devil.  He had to become a physical human being and Jesus allowed God to flow through Him in a way that put Satan in his place.  Now Satan is a de-fanged foe, he cannot do anything except gum you to death.  All he does is lie to us and intimidate us and Satan can’t do anything to you without your consent and co-operation.  The problem is we have been consenting and co-operating more than we should…

Some of you might be frustrated and think, “Well I sought the Lord and things didn’t work out.”  Well we have an enemy that comes against us.  We live in a fallen world.  This is going to be swimming upstream.  This is going to take more effort than floating downstream.  But I can promise you God is for you and if you co-operate God will reach you!”

We have to stop being passive and hope God will reach out to us and fix everything for us.  We have to take responsibility for our actions, we need to stop putting the blame on others and start acting upon God’s word and live according to His will.  The only way we can do that is to read the Bible and learn who God is, what He wants for us and what our responsibility is.  That is going to take work.  It is going to be more effort than just going to church once a week and being spoon-fed.  It takes time, but I have found so many rewards in doing this.  God has given me hope, He has given me a reason to live and He has healed me of many problems.  It is worth it, believe me!

Wow!  I heard this teaching from An.drew Wom.mack – How to receive a miracle and I got such a revelation on waiting!  I’m not waiting on God – He is waiting on me!  I’m just going to quote a little bit of this teaching for you, just the part that I mentioned now, but I would actually recommend you listen to all of it!

“Many Christians believe there is no certain path to get your miracle.  They believe you wish, you hope, you pray and maybe God will do it, or maybe He won’t.  That there is no way that you can grab hold of something and make it happen, but that is not what the Bible teaches! 

One of the things that the Lord has done in my (An.drew Wom.mack) life is to establish the integrity of His Word.  That God is not hit and miss.  God does not sometimes do this and then sometimes do that.  Sometimes people say that you never know what God is going to do, you can’t put God into a box – basically what that is, is an excuse so that if you pray and it doesn’t work you can say, “well it wasn’t God’s will.” 

No that is not so!  I guarantee you God is predictable.   God is the one who created everything physical around us, and you know this physical world is so orderly.  It just amazes me the precision of everything God made – the heavens and the earth.  You know when they shoot these rockets to other planets; I mean everything is so predictable!  You can tell 10 years, 20 years, 30 years from now where a planet is going to be, because God set up a system.  Everything works perfectly – we’ve got these 10 year calendars, you can show things 10 years in advance…  How can you do this?  Because God made an orderly world, and it’s crazy to think that someone who created something so orderly is Himself disorganized. 

“You never know what God’s going to do.  God will do it this way one time and that way the next time.”  God is not like that!  God is not schizophrenic!  God is predictable.  God is the same yesterday, today and forever!  One of the things that has blessed me tremendously in my walk with the Lord is just knowing that, “God you are forever faithful, God you will never fail me.”  I don’t have to hope and wish and pray that God will answer my prayers.

There are laws that govern the things of God.   Romans 3:27 (KJV):  27Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.”  There is a law of faith.  Faith is governed by law – law is something that is unchangeable.  That means it doesn’t just work sometimes.  Did you know the Kingdom of God operates under law?  It’s consistent. 

You know if someone is killed by gravity – do we sometimes wonder why God did that?  God didn’t do it!  God just put down laws – if you jump off a 15 storey building gravity is going to kill you.  God didn’t look at you and say, “O!  I’m going to teach you!”  There is a law that is in effect and you learn how to co-operate with it.  It can work for you – like you are sitting on a chair, there is no problem, you don’t have to hold on to it, it’s not a struggle, because gravity is there for your own benefit – you learn how to co-operate with it.  But if you ignore those laws and you begin to go contrary to it you will get killed by the same law that intended to be for your own good.  

It’s the same thing with God.  There are laws that govern the operation of God.  I’m saying all this to give you an introduction to how do you receive a miracle from God.  One of the first things to recognize is that miracles are not just hit and miss, that it’s not, “you never know whether they will work or not, you can’t tap into a miracle.”  You learn the laws of God, you learn how things work, you do them and you can receive your miracle from God.  You can see God move into your life! 

Somebody is thinking, “Now are you saying that you can just push a button and make God turn out, You can turn God on or off, you can make Him do whatever you want to.”  No!  What I’m saying is God is on all the time.  Every time you get turned on you can see the power of God operate, Amen?  God always wants to move on your behalf!  It’s not you controlling God, God is always for you!  God is a good God.  God desires for you to prosper.  God’s will is for you to be healthy.  God’s will is for you to be above and not beneath and if you are not in one of those categories it’s not God that you’re waiting on to perform a miracle, God is waiting on us to learn and to reach out and to flip that switch and to turn on the power of God to release His ability in our life!  You are the one that controls God’s ability in your life!  Not God!  Now it is God’s power, it is His ability, but it is up to you!

Ephesians 3:20 (KJV):  20Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”

If you leave out the phrase, “according to the power that works in us,” you do not have the truth.  God is not able to do abundantly, exceedingly, whatever we ask or think period, because if there isn’t any power working in you, if you aren’t believing God, if there is no positive force on the inside of you, you can stop God’s intervention in your life. 

See a lot of people think, “Now, wait a minute, God is God!  Nobody controls God!  Nobody can tell God what to do!”   It’s not the fact that God is limited by you, it’s not having more authority in power in God, God can do whatever he wants to, but God has chosen to never violate your will.  God has chosen to flow through you, that is what this scripture says – according to the power that works in you, so if you turn the power off in you then you turn off God’s power in your life.  You can stop God’s power, Satan can’t stop God, but you can!   Satan can’t stop God from doing anything!  But you can stop God in your life and brothers and sisters many of us, without knowing it, are stopping God from moving in our life.

There are a lot of things, I can’t tell you everything I know in three sessions, but we’re going to be hitting on some highlights of things.  I want to get some things across to you – that praise God, God wants you to prosper, God has a miracle for you.  God can supernaturally intervene in your life, but you are going to get off your spiritual duff and begin to believe God.  We are going to get off dead centre and quit waiting on God, and saying, “God, I’m waiting on you,” and recognize that God is waiting on us!  Amen?”

Lately I have been listening a lot to what people say in general about infertility.  I’m not just talking about the “fertiles” that have opinions on infertility here, but also actual Christians that are infertile.  It even reminded me of things I have said myself, out loud to others, or even in prayers to God.  And I realised that we are being extremely unfair to God.  He is blamed for a lot of things that is not His fault.  Mostly it is because I have learnt so much lately and my eyes have been opened to a lot of lies that we believe.  I want to try to explain to you with examples, so that you will hopefully also get some understanding and revelation about these things.

1.  “I know/believe God can make me pregnant, I just don’t know if it’s His will.”  I was really guilty of this one.  I have said it myself, I might even have blogged it, and I’ve said it many, many times in my prayers.  “God, I believe in miracles, I believe you can do amazing wonderful things beyond my imagination, but I don’t know if it’s your will for me to get pregnant or have children…”  When I did the Divine Healing Technician course Curry Blake explained it very nicely, and was I convicted!  If you have a child (Sorry, not an ideal example for this blog!) and that child wanted something from you, let’s say a toy, or a bike – how would you feel if that child said to you:  “Mom, I know it is in your ability to give it to me (you can afford it), but I don’t know if you want to…”  Parents want to give their children everything they want, because they love them.  If it’s at all possible you would do everything to your ability to help them, it is never a question of whether you want to or not and it is actually very insulting if your child should imply that you don’t want to…  It’s the same with God – we are insulting Him when we say:  “God I know you can give me a baby, but I don’t think/know if you want to…”  We say things like this because we don’t know God, and we don’t know what His will is.

2.  “It was God’s will that I had to be infertile, to teach me something.”  Here is the same mistake again – we don’t know what God’s will is, otherwise we would not say things like this.  Also God does not teach us by letting us “suffer”, or by letting bad things happen to us.  I want to quote Dr Fr.ed Chi.lds from his book:  Are you ready for your healing, pg 194:  “It is inaccurate for anyone who has suffered a debilitating accident, serious disease, or tragedy to say, “God did this to teach me something.”  God never uses sickness, disease, or bodily deformity to teach or guide His people.  God has given His Spirit (Holy Ghost) and His Word to instruct, correct, rebuke and guide His people.  Since all things work together for good to those who love the Lord and who are called according to His purpose, He can certainly use tragedy as an opportunity for His Spirit and Word to teach us.  However, that is much different than God doing bad things to teach us.  God does no evil.  John 16:13 (NIV) is one witness that God uses his Spirit to teach us.  13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.”  2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV) is a witness that God uses His word to teach us.  16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

3.  “God had to break me/my will, so that I could conform to His will.”  This is once again a statement from someone who does not know God.  God will not break you.  God will not hurt you.  It’s the devil that hurts, and breaks and destroys…  God will not stoop to the same level as the devil to accomplish anything in your life. Here are some scriptures that describes who God is:  1 John 4:8-10, 16 (NIV):  8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.  9 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.  10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.  16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.”  1 John 1:5 (NIV):  5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.”  Psalm 92:15 (NIV):  15 proclaiming, The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.”  From these scriptures we can see that God loves us, so incredibly much that He sacrificed His Son for us, and that he has no wickedness or evil in Him so he cannot hurt us.

So what is God’s will about having children?  One of the first commands God gave Adam and Eve after they sinned in the Garden of Eden was:  Genesis 1:28 (NIV):  “…Be fruitful and increase in number…”
Exodus 23:25-26 (NIV):  25 Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you, 26 and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span.” 
Deuteronomy 7:13-14 (NIV):  13 He will love you and bless you and increase your numbers. He will bless the fruit of your womb, the crops of your land— your grain, new wine and oil— the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks in the land that he swore to your forefathers to give you.    14 You will be blessed more than any other people; none of your men or women will be childless, nor any of your livestock without young.”
Deuteronomy 28:1-4 (NIV):  1 If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands that I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.    2 All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God: 3You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.    4 The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock— the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.”
Psalm 113:9 (NIV):  9 He settles the barren woman in her home as a happy mother of children.   Praise the LORD”

Psalm 127:3-5 (NIV):  3Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him.    4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one’s youth.    5 Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate”

Psalm 128:3 (NIV):  3 Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your sons will be like olive shoots round your table.”
1 Timothy 2:15 (NIV):  15 But women will be saved through childbearing— if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety.”

So do you see that it is God’s Will for us to have children?  Most of these scriptures are also found in the Old Testament so that means it is Old Covenant scriptures – if it was God’s will under the Old Covenant is definitely His will under the New Covenant!

4.  “God works in mysterious ways.”  God does not work in mysterious ways.  We have a Bible to teach us how God works.  We need to read it and learn from it and then nothing will be hidden or mysterious to us anymore.  It says in Matthew 13:11-12 (NIV):  11 He replied, The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.  12 Whoever has will be given more, and he will have abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him”

5.  God’s timing is perfect.  We need to wait on God.”  Please read the following on God’s timing and on Waiting on God.  There is not much more I can say about it except that I think it’s more a matter of God waiting on us than us waiting on Him.  He is waiting for us to claim our inheritance, to stop feeling sorry for ourselves and to stop being victims…

6.  “God gives and takes away.”  If you read Mistake #1 from Common misconceptions from the book of Job: you will see how that statement is completely wrong.  It’s a verse that is often misquoted from the book of Job.  Let me quote from that post:  “God adds and multiplies, Satan subtracts and divides.  God is not a taker, but a giver.”  Let me prove it with some more scriptures:  James 1:17 (NIV):  17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”  Psalm 84:11 (NIV):  11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favour and honour; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.”

7.  “I/you am/are being punished for something I’ve/you’ve done wrong.”  What could you have done that is so terrible that you have to be punished with infertility?  And why are other people like drug addicts or prostitutes not punished like that?  Because it is not a punishment.  Look at the blind man Jesus healed in John 9:1-3(NIV):  “1 As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth.    2 His disciples asked him, Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?    3 Neither this man nor his parents sinned, said Jesus, but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life.“  Another example:  Luke 1:5-7 (NIV):  5 In the time of Herod king of Judea there was a priest named Zechariah, who belonged to the priestly division of Abijah; his wife Elizabeth was also a descendant of Aaron.    6 Both of them were upright in the sight of God, observing all the Lord’s commandments and regulations blamelessly.    7 But they had no children, because Elizabeth was barren; and they were both well on in years.”  I love this last example – It is so apt – even though they were “upright in the sight of God,” Zechariah and Elizabeth were barren, so it was not due to punishment… 

8.  “They say children are a blessing from God.  Then why am I not being blessed?”  I believe it’s not a matter of not being blessed, but rather a matter of your blessings being stolen from you.  In John 10:10 (NIV) it says:  10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”  I’m sure if you looked at the scriptures above about God’s will for us regarding children you will see that children are definitely a blessing from God, unfortunately we don’t always receive those blessings, but we cannot blame that on God!

For those of you who are wondering how I am; I am not sad anymore, I am mad!   Wednesday night while I was sleeping, I suddenly woke up and remembered an article I read in the Joy magazine of July 2010 a while ago.  It had to deal with healing and I thought I would look it up in the morning.  The heading of the article is:  “the thief comes to steal, kill and destroy” John 10:10a.  Immediately I was mad.  Why, because I realized that the devil, who is the thief, is trying to kill Shumi and that he killed our babies and that he has stolen a lot from us over the years.  Suddenly I had this feeling of being fed up – fed up with everything and that I don’t want to him to steal, kill or destroy anything from us again…

So in the article it says that this father who lost his son to cancer was given a copy of “The Di.vine Hea.ling Tech.nician” a Jo.hn G La.ke Minis.tries training manual, and I goog.led it.  The first thing I opened up was a free course about “The Di.vine Hea.ling Tech.nician”, and that’s what I’ve been up to since then, listening to the teaching of Cur.ry Bla.ke about healing, but it also covers a lot of other stuff.  Please do yourselves a favour and make some time to listen to it.  Here is the link.  Please, please listen to it, it will change your life!

I must apologize to you all, I only realized after listening to this teaching that I’ve believed a lot of lies and I’ve shared some of those lies to you, as if they were fact.  That’s why some of my posts have been removed, and there is probably some more that will be removed.  The last thing I wanted to be was to be a false prophet, but some lies have come through and I need to rectify that!  Some posts will be edited and put back, but I think some need to be deleted permanently.

If you are wondering what I’m talking about, I’ll give you some examples:  I have always believed the lie that it has not been God’s will for me to have children up to now.  Even though I’ve read that it’s a lie in Jackie Mize’s book “supernatural childbirth”, I still believed there must be some plan or purpose of why we don’t have any children yet, and why I had to have my miscarriage.  That’s not true!   Sickness is never a punishment from God, and as the World Health Organisation has classified infertility as an illness I include that in the term sickness!  Those were the excuses I made because it was the only explanation that made sense to me!   It was a coping mechanism, and I know a lot of other people are also in the same situation, and I don’t want them to be deceived anymore either.

God does not want us to suffer, He does not want us to be infertile, He does not want disease and illness for us, not just the Christians, but for every single human being on earth!  Sickness and disease comes from only one source and that is from the devil.  It is not there to teach us anything or to make us better people, it has one purpose and that is to destroy you…  God has nothing to do with it!  We are living in ignorance about our rights as children of God and because of that ignorance we do not live according to the promises made in the Bible.

Promises like:  Genesis 1:28 (NIV): “…Be fruitful and increase in number…”

Psalm 113:9 (NIV): 9 He settles the barren woman in her home as a happy mother of children.”

1 Peter 2:24 (NIV): 24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.” (Note: have been healed – It happened 2000 years ago – you are already healed, you must just not let the devil have any hold on you anymore)

Galatians 3:13 (NIV): 13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”

James 4:7 (NIV): 7Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Mark 11: 23-24 (NIV): 23 I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.    24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”

2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV): 7 For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.”

Isaiah 54:17 (NIV): 17 no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me, declares the LORD.”

We have this image of Jesus as someone that is always peaceful and meek, but that is completely the wrong image.  He is at war against the enemy and his forces, and we should be at war too.  We cannot lie down and accept any attack against us; we must stand up for ourselves and fight back!  We cannot allow any more attacks against us and we must go out and fight the battle on behalf of Jesus Christ!  That’s why it’s good to be mad, then you are in a better frame of mind to fight the battle!  Who is with me?  Who is also fed up and mad and willing to join the battle?
